An open letter to companies
Imagine a working environment (not only physical) where employees are in great physical and mental shape. A company where people feel that they are being taken care of.
That could be your company.
When you prioritize the well-being of your employees, they will in turn prioritize the success of your business.
Is employees’ well-being at the top of your priority list?
If not, it’s time to rethink your approach.
Employee burnout costs companies worldwide a staggering $322 billion in lost turnover. That’s a whopping $20 million in lost opportunities for every 10,000 workers who are struggling or suffering (and not reporting).
Gallup reports that a tremendous 88% of employees with high well-being feel engaged at work, while only 50% of those with low well-being feel the same.
And here’s another eye-opening statistic: just 62% of workers feel like their employer is willing to invest in their health and well-being.
The impact of neglecting employee well-being goes beyond just financials. In Mexico for instance, work absenteeism related to psychological ailments results in a loss of 23.8% in productivity. And globally, mental health issues cost nearly one trillion dollars in lost productivity according to a study by the International Labor Organization (ILO).
If you already have something in place, ask yourself: Is it really making your employees feel cared for and valued? Because just having a program in place isn’t enough today. You need something that’s truly compelling, that gets people excited, that grabs their attention and doesn’t let go.
Something that makes them say, “Wow, my company really cares about me!”
So don’t settle for mediocrity. Go the extra mile. Show your employees that you’re not just checking a box, but that you’re truly invested in their well-being.
Because when you do, the results will speak for themselves. You’ll see
→ higher engagement,
→ increased productivity, and
→ a team that’s ready to take on the world.
Let’s turn things around and unlock the true potential of your team!
Best,
