Boost your emotional energy with the FCD framework:

1/ FREE yourself from people’s expectations

Parents, spouses, and friends—often have different expectations of us than the ones we have for ourselves.

Don’t take them on, or if you already have them on your shoulders—let them go.

Get rid of them.

Never live in fear of others’ judgment.

You are free—it’s only up to you.

2/ CREATE your own meaning of life

If you’re looking for the meaning of your life, sorry, but you won’t find it “somewhere”.

It’s like with your shape and fitness: you need to make it happen.

You need to design and work on it—choose wisely!

Ask yourself:
What can I do (or do differently) in my life TODAY that would give it more meaning?

It’s not an easy task with a simple answer.

You’re already taking steps towards clarity by doing this exercise.

3/ DO something NEW.

Ok ok, you are busy, I know. Been there—in busyness all the time!
Newness is a need that boosts vitality, health, and happiness—so let’s make time for it.

What would you like to try?

No matter what it is, it doesn’t need to be something big.

A new food, an old food prepared differently, another route home, a new style, or a sport—you choose!

I know you already know what you want to try.
Do it! And observe how your emotional energy rises.

Power Up Your Immune System with a Healthy Gut!

To build a house we start from the foundation. The foundation of a strong body and mind is a bulletproof immune system.

To achieve a robust immune system, focus on building a healthy gut.

During this time of year, it’s easier to get sick if your defenses are low.

So let’s build a defense system that will last.

The health industry does not care about food. And the food industry ignores health.

It’s on us to work on that direct connection

Here are three simple hacks you can start today.

1/ Eat fermented foods

Our diet shapes our gut microbiome, which in turn affects our immune system and overall health and well-being.

Integrate 2 to 3 servings per day of fermented foods.

Some examples are—kimchi, yogurt, kefir, sauerkraut, tempeh, and miso.

2/ Lower stress through mindful practice

Stress is the trojan horse that undermines your immune system. Mindful eating is your chance to integrate a mindful practice into your busy schedule.

A study conducted in 2018 of beginner meditators found that just 13 minutes of daily mindful meditation can reduce stress and anxiety, while also improving focus and memory. 

Mindful eating is not a formal meditation—ideal for all who can’t sit still with their eyes closed.

3/ Eat for nutrients or consider supplements

Ensure that you are not deficient in zinc, selenium, iron, copper, folic acid, or vitamins A, B6, C, and E

If you don’t eat enough foods that contain these nutrients, consider taking supplements—but consult your doctor first. Not everyone needs to take supplements!

There is a direct connection between our microbiome and our health.
